Ok today’s post doesn’t have much to do about DVD Replication, but it’s Friday, and the Lakers have just won their 16th title, so as we service the greater Los Angeles area and Southern California in general, we are feeling especially proud of our Lakers. Also, if you were at the game, and you have priceless home videos you would like us to convert to DVD and duplicate for you, give us a call! We can process any order of any quantity and even help you create the DVD master itself. Congratulations to the Los Angeles Lakers in their victory over the Celtics!!
Adding CSS to your DVD project before replicating is a two-step process. The first step is to “flag” the project with CSS in your DVD authoring software, and then format the disc image to a DLT tape; or 2 if it’s a DVD-9. Step two is when the disc image is extracted from the tape at the time of glass mastering. The flagged image lets the operator know that CSS is to be added into the final master. If you do not have a DLT tape machine, there’s no need to worry. Simply provide your open project file and VE can format your DLT tape masters with CSS flagged for you! Just another way VE can help you through the entire DVD replication process!
CD and DVD authoring is one of the most important steps to completing your project. Authoring allows you to integrate a functional menu design, a playlist, video photos, and other assets. All that will help us is if you give us a general theme or motif of what your project entails and we will do the rest for you.
DVD authoring with VE includes digital capture from your master, video/audio compression, menu/navigation designing, content scrambling system, Macrovision, final mastering, and then replication.
CD authoring with VE includes much of the same that DVD authoring does, such as: digital capture from your master, video compression, autolaunch on your PC, web links, and PC/MAC compatibility.
